Studio Concepts, Inc. was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1977. We design, manufacture and manage parade floats, stage productions, and related festival and event services. Studio Concepts, Inc. operates year round, out of a 70,000 square foot facility in Portland, Oregon. We employ a full time staff of 26 experienced professionals including designers, sculptors, animators, and engineers. Our staff designers work closely with each client in the development of concept, style, and presentation.
The Promise
Our guiding principle is simple: Always do what you say you'll do. Naturally, that's an empty promise unless the client receives exceptional creativity, quality and service.
Our Specialty
We are proud to serve as the Official Float Builder for the Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade and as Official Float Builder for the Oakland Holiday Parade. We also design and build award winning floats for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, the Seattle Seafair, the National Cherry Blossom Parade and many other parades throughout the United States. As one of the largest manufacturers of parade floats in the West, we work with Southwest Airlines, Wells Fargo, NAMM, Ford, Bank of America, Cingular, Reser's Fine Foods and many other local and national sponsors. Our floats are fabricated, assembled and tested in Portland and then shipped to their final destination for assembly, art treatment, and decoration. Studio Concepts, Inc. creates more than sixty float entries each year. In addition, we design, fabricate, and manage several traveling float tours.
Parades are a time-motion experience. Successful designs anticipate environment, audience recognition and emotional response. Every story has a purpose. And like a good story, a good float rewards the viewer with a sense of discovery and delight.
The Idea
We invest in our clients from the first meeting. We focus on their goals and their company's vision, to create a dynamic design integrating their ideas with our experience. Our creative staff produces concept sketches for your consideration. We exchange ideas and discuss costs and other details. The result is a strong idea that will capture audience attention, presented in a clear and detailed proposal.
The Realization
The creation of a dramatic and functional float, production, or exhibit requires the collective efforts of client, designer, artist, engineer, fabricator and many others. It also requires production management capable of working intimately with each member of the team. We enjoy our work and communicate to our clients every opportunity for involvement throughout the process. We invite you to be a part of the fun and make your dream a reality......
